Photography is my life and everything that I want to do. My photography strives to capture my view of the world and express my way of showing it. Photographing and capturing moments has been in my life for as long as I can remember, and finally being able to make my passion my career is the strongest feeling in the world. Photography makes me very emotionally attached to the images, I have learned over time that it can be used as a healing tool for me.
My imagery is driven by emotion and mood. The space that I take up with my emotions is huge and I want my photos to reflect that. In my personal work, I always get the subject to portray a certain emotion to drive the viewer. The way I have found to truly get real emotion in my imagery is to create a relationship with my subject/model to ensure a comfortable space where the emotion can be expressed naturally. For my clients, I wait until I see that perfect moment that shows the most emotion and capture it before it’s gone.
I always wanted to capture better quality images and show moments in life, but I was never able to afford a good quality camera to get the results I wanted.
When I was 17, I saved up for my first new Canon camera and was able to make my vision a reality. Then I applied for the Center for Arts and Technology to get the technical training I needed to get professional results. Now I am on my way to living my dream and capturing the world in the way I want to show it.
